HEARING OF COMPLAINTS
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Barrington, County of Yates, has
completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy
has been left with Joy L. C. Perry, Barrington Town Clerk, at 4424 Old Bath
Road, Penn Yan, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person
until the fourth Tuesday in May.
The Assessor will be in attendance with the
Tentative Assessment Roll, on the following dates:

Road in said Town, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to
assessments, on written application of any person believing himself to be
aggrieved.

Planning Board Meeting

Notice is Hereby Given that the Planning Board will be holding a meeting on May 19, 2026 at 7:00 pm.  They will review an application to amend a special use permit for property located at 2200 Ellis Road, Dundee, NY to include a two-bedroom home and extend the weeks of operation from 25 to 32 weeks a year.

Special Town Board Meeting

The Barrington Town Board will be holding a special Town Board meeting on May 11th, 2026 to review software programs for Town accounting and any other Town business as needed at the Barrington Town Hall.

REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETINGS

PLEASE NOTICE As of the month of June the Town Board will hold TWO meetings EVERY MONTH to be held the seconded and fourth TUESDAYS at 6:00 pm.  These meetings are open to the public.

Town Clerk Office Hours

The Town Clerk's Office will be open (as of January 5th):

Mondays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesdays 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Wednesdays & Thursdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Highway Department Request

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTCE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I have received the tax roll and warrant for collecting taxes in the Town of Barrington and I will receive said taxes at the following times at the Barrington Town Hall Mondays 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, Tuesdays 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  During the month of January taxes will be collected without fee or penalty.  On all taxes remaining to be paid after January 31st, 2026 a penalty of 1% will be added for the month of February and 2% penalty will be added for the month of March.

All unpaid taxes will be returned to the Yates County Treasurer on April 1st, 2026 at which time a penalty of 5% plus 12% interest per annum will be added.
